As President of UEG’s global sports practice, Mary brings 25 years communications and marketing experience providing strategic counsel for some of the world’s most influential brands, leagues, corporate sponsors and teams throughout her career. Since joining the company in 1998, Mary has guided clients from all industries, leading brand strategy, creative campaign development, cross-channel programming; stakeholder engagement, reputation management, issues counsel and activation for companies looking to tap into the power of sports & entertainment platforms. She has managed national and global sponsor programs across all major global and local sports events including numerous Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups, Super Bowls, MLB All Star Games, Indianapolis 500 as well as with properties including: NFL, NHL, MLB, NCAA, etc.. Her work in The Olympic Movement spans nearly 20 years, including TOP and NOC sponsors, the International Paralympic Committee, candidate and bid cities. She advises numerous c-suite executives on positioning, high level strategy and issues management.
Prior to Edelman/UEG, Mary spent five years at the NFL, where she handled corporate communications on behalf of NFL Enterprises, the media development, technology and international arm of
the NFL and its 32 teams. While at the NFL, she helped launch break thru programs including NFL.com, NFL Sunday Ticket and the leagues international efforts.
Mary was also Director of Communications for People & Properties, a sport and event marketing company specializing in PGA and LPGA golf and professional tennis tournaments. She started her career at Silverman, Warren/Kremer, Inc., a sports PR firm.
Mary has won numerous awards and accolades for clients and their programs. Individually, she was honored by Women in Sports and Events (WISE) as a 2015 Woman of the Year; and as a Game Changer by the Sports Business Journal.
